  • Fantastic! I was nervous about cataract surgery but from the moment I arrived I felt reassured. All the nurses who gave pre-op care were thoroughly professional and kind. The nurse who stayed with me during surgery was a really lovely person (who insisted on holding my hand!). My surgeon was amazing. Made sure I had a painless procedure and made me relaxed by having a lovely sense of humour. He was outstanding and 2 days later I have no pain and am actually able to see without glasses! I was an NHS patient but at no time did I feel like a second class citizen. Thank you to all involved. Can't praise you highly enough.

  • From start to finish I was informed about what my procedure would be and how long it would take. On the day of my procedure my doctor came and told me he was running a little bit late and was I ok with that. Nothing was to much trouble from anyone who looked after me. So thank you.

  • This was my first visit to the Fitzwilliam Hospital and I am so pleased to report my complete satisfaction with my recent stay. I was treated with kindness and courtesy by all the staff, from the receptionists to the day and night-time medical team. My stay was only a short one, but pleasant enough. I would thoroughly recommend this hospital to any potential patient.

  • I had initially enquired via email and got a prompt response. I made contact with the hospital and the receptionist (Sharon) was so friendly and made me feel at ease straight away! Within 48 hours I had my consultation with Dr Arora; who was patient, a good listener & clearly knew what needs to happen next for me. I got more out of one appointment with her than I have with my GP surgery in the last year! I’m already booked in for a scan & feel so comfortable and confident with Fitzwilliam. As a self-funding patient, I can honestly say that so far it’s been money well spent on myself & I wouldn’t be adverse to using the hospital again in the future if necessary! 5 star service all round 😊

  • The service today was second to none. All of the staff were absolutely wonderful and so caring and the surgery was so impressive, with all staff doing their utmost to make my stay so good. The hospital was very comfortable and pristine. My surgeon was so caring and explained everything to me and it couldn't have been better. I would like to thank my surgeon and the anesthetist and all of the rest of the staff who helped me so much.

  • I have visited the Fitzwilliam Hospital many times over the past 10 plus years. I’ve been treated as an outpatient, day surgery and for longer stays, before, during and post pandemic. I have always experienced positive staff and all team members, no matter their role, are friendly and helpful. I’ve felt safe in the hospital and no matter how big or small the reason for my visit, I am always made to feel like I matter. This most recent visit was the usual warm greeting from the Reception team, great communication and explanation when there was a very slight delay. I always witness the staff positively interacting with other patients and their families. I always leave feeling very lucky to be able to use the services of the Fitzwilliam. Thank you for always providing a very patient focused service and response, which goes a very long way in helping put us patients at ease.
