Fitzwilliam Hospital staff support local Winter Night Shelter

Staff at Fitzwilliam Hospital recently supported the local night shelter by collecting non-perishable food items over the Christmas period and raising funds with a raffle. The Garden House is linked to Peterborough Cathedral, and provides support and friendship to people living on the street in Peterborough. The Garden House has created opportunities for many services to come together under one roof in a truly loving and respectful environment.

The charity has been working with homeless people in the city, and along with the night shelters, have set up a day centre to offer help and support and for the homeless.
Bookings Administrator, Teresa Fasulo, volunteers one night a week at the house, and recently participated in a tandem skydive to raise money for the charity.

Teresa Fasula and Business Service Manager, Lynne Nelson delivered the food donations to the shelter and Lynne advised, "We are so  impressed with the fantastic work being done at The Garden House that what had started as a one-off  project would now be an ongoing relationship".
