Breast lift at Fitzwilliam Hospital
A breast uplift (mastopexy), as its name suggests, lifts your breasts, takes away any excess skin and reshapes your breasts. The end result is a more youthful looking breast that is elevated and pert.
Childbirth and breastfeeding, significant weight loss, genetics, gravity and ageing can all have an impact on your breasts and cause them to sag. Women choose a breast lift to reverse their impact.
Your cosmetic surgeon will make an incision on the line of your areola and a vertical cut directly beneath your areola. They will remove excess saggy skin (but not breast tissue as in a breast reduction) and raise your nipple. Breast uplift surgery is performed under general anaesthetic and takes around an hour and a half.
