Following the lifting of restrictions by the Government, we would like to reassure all our patients that the way we interact with you will not be changing. All staff and consultants will continue to wear face coverings and maintain social distancing, and we require our patients and visitors to do the same, so that we are all protected.

Fat redistribution at Fitzwilliam Hospital

fat-redistribution

Fat redistribution is also called fat transfer. It’s a natural way of fat recycling that redistributes your body fat to create a body shape and contour you desire.

Your cosmetic surgeon takes body fat from areas of your body with considerable fat, often legs, flanks, thighs or abdomen, and moves it to body areas that you feel require more volume, commonly your face, breasts and buttocks.

Fat redistribution can be carried out under general or local anaesthetic. The decision is dependent upon the amount of fat you are having transferred. During fat transfer your fat is collected in syringes and then purified before it is injected back into the target area of your body.
