Eye Bag Removal at Fitzwilliam Hospital
Eye bag removal, also known as blepharoplasty, is performed to improve the appearance of your upper and lower eyelids and produce more youthful looking eyes.
Men and women choose to have a blepharoplasty to smooth loose or sagging skin on their upper eyelids, to sculpt and reposition fat that causes eyelid puffiness, and to reduce eye bags, drooping lower eyelids, excess skin and, fine wrinkles around their lower eyelid. A blepharoplasty can also improve sight once sagging eyelids are removed.
A blepharoplasty is performed under general anaesthetic and takes up to two hours. Muscle and excess skin and fat is removed from around your eyes. An upper blepharoplasty is carried out for drooping upper eyelids and a lower blepharoplasty will remove eye bags.
